A Slick New Addition To Your Summertime Soundtrack

When I say “Summertime,” you’ll most likely think of Sublime’s hit by the same name.  Or, perhaps you think of this track by the same name, featuring The Pharcyde.  Or maybe you’re reminded of the remix.

Either way, I doubt your mind snaps to “Summertime” by DJ Jazzy Jeff And The Fresh Prince.  This track popped out in 1991 (does that qualify as back in the day yet?) and topped the US R&B charts for a week, as well as reaching #4 on the big Billboard.  Remixed recently by DJ Jazzy Jeff and also used in a Wal-Mart commercial (apparently), this song is quite relevant, especially since it’s summer.

With smooth lyrics and and a clean, fresh, and totally chilled-out, laid-back vibe, this song is perfect to bump when you roll through town at “two miles an hour so everybody sees you.”
