Remember the Black album? Sure ya do. Remember the White album? Sure ya do. So you’ll remember the Grey Album, the mashup set cut by DJ Danger Mouse which combines the two previously mentioned records. Well, it has officially been rendered obsolete.
Jay-Z is back, this time with Radiohead. Now now, don’t knock it before you try it, because this stuff is some of the most legit work out there… especially since its free. Yup, free. New York native and resident Minty Fresh Beats, aka Max Tannone, is the mastermind behind the Jay-Z/Radiohead smashup titled Jaydiohead. MFB’s claim to fame is that he kept the Jay-Z lyrics as the baseline beat, picking and adjusting the backing tracks to fit the vocals.
According to interviews, Mr. Freshmaker decided to embark on this 6-week task pro bono, for the sake of music. He doesn’t expect to see any profit from it. Of course, everyone knows Minty Fresh is trying to make a splash in the music industry to get noticed. Bigger and better things, you know.
